Buhari Denies Ordering the Sale of 9 Presidential Jets

 unnamed sources Friday as saying the president had directed the selling of serviceable and unserviceable aircrafts to cut maintenance costs in line with the government's policy to drastically reduce its annual expenditure.

Eight of the planes in the fleet, including Boeing 737, two Gulfstream 550 jets, Gulfstream V jet, two Falcon 7X planes, the Hawker Siddeley aircraft and Augusta Westland chopper, the report said, are reserved strictly for the president's movement.

Other aircrafts, including two Falcon 900 planes, the Dornier, the Cessna Citation, the Beechracft King Air, and two AugustaWestland choppers, are reserved for the airlifting of the Vice-President, Senate President, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as visiting African heads of states.

But, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has denied knowledge of such directive. "The story of the order for the sale of aircrafts in the Presidential Fleet, about which so much interest is being expressed, is not known to us," Mr. Shehu told Premium Times on Friday.

Mr. Shehu said if anything like that was being contemplated, the Presidency would issue a statement through its official channels to announce it.

Nigeria Picks Kogi, Akwa Ibom For Nuclear Power Plants

Nigeria has selected two sites for the construction of its planned nuclear power plants, as Africa's biggest economy tries to end decades of electricity blackouts that have blighted its growth.

Russia's state-owned Rosatom, which has been in talks with Nigeria over the nuclear plants, on Friday confirmed two sites had been selected in Africa's most populous nation and said they would have a total of four reactors.

Neither side would say where the sites were, but a source at Nigeria's nuclear agency said the sites will be in Akwa Ibom state, in southeast Nigeria, and Kogi state, in the central northern part of the country.

Nigeria, with a population of around 170 million, has installed power capacity that fluctuates between around 6,000 MW to just over 7,000 MW, according to the Transmission Company of Nigeria, with 80 percent of its power plants fired by gas.

By comparison, South Africa's capacity is almost seven times greater for a population less than a third as big.

Africa's biggest economy has no experience in developing and operating nuclear plants but has small reactors producing around 30 KW for research, Franklin Erepamo Osaisai, chief executive of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission, said on its website.

One nuclear power plant costs between $5 billion to $8 billion, a source at Rosatom said. Nigeria has not yet said how it plans to fund the construction, a key question given its finances have taken a hit after a slump in the price of oil, its main export.

But according to what I gathered, Wizkid actually moved to Globacom 4 weeks ago after complaining that MTN was delaying payment and mostly because Glo offered him more to be their ambassador. He signed a 2-year deal with Glo said to be over N100million.

Rappers Naeto C and Lynxxx have been dropped by the telecoms giant. Some ambassadors were dropped because Glo wanted to bring in more guys so they needed to decongest. I hear comedian Bovi, AY, Yoruba actor Odunlade Adekola and actor OC Ukeje have also joined Glo.

Neymar handed four-match ban

The Barcelona attacker has been punished for his role in Wednesday's post-game brawl and will miss the remainder of the tournament.

Brazil coach Dunga will have to make do without the services of Neymar for the remainder of the Copa America, with the attacker handed a four-game suspension.

The Barcelona star was shown a straight red card for his role in a brawl with Jeison Murillo and Carlos Bacca after Brazil's Copa América loss against Colombia on Wednesday and has consequently been banned for four matches as well as a $10,000 fine. 

He had previously already picked up his second yellow card of the tournament in the 1-0 defeat versus the Colombians.

Neymar will thus miss Brazil's final Group C match versus Venezuela on Sunday, while he is also out of any potential knockout stage match. Brazil have the right to appeal the decision to Conmebol, the South American governing body, on Saturday morning.

The 23-year-old was in fine form in the Selecao's 2-1 opening win over Peru, scoring once and setting up Douglas Costa's opener. He was unable to replicate that form versus Jose Pékerman's men, though, as they were beaten 1-0.

Neymar's absence means Philippe Coutinho or Douglas Costa could make Dunga's starting XI for the remainder of the tournament.

Although ex-President Obasanjo is not happy with Bukola Saraki for going against his new party the way he did and he made it very clear to him and his entourage, but he has promised to intervene.

To this end, Obasanjo has promised to "ensure communication between all parties".

Africa's richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, is planning to expand his cement empire to Asia and it will be operational in 30 months.

Since Dangote Cement Plc has received 90 per cent of the regulatory approvals needed to start construction, it should complete a factory in Nepal by the end of 2017.

Clad in white traditional robes, the 58-year-old Nigerian billionaire, on Thursday revealed that "It's going to be one of the first factories for us to build outside our comfort zone, outside Africa."

Dangote, who has never visited Nepal, will invest $400 million in the country to build a cement plant with a capacity of as much as two million metric tonnes.

"It will be a major boost for them, especially with what happened." "They don't produce cement at the moment, they import mainly from India," he said.

Similarly, fund manager at Bellevue Asset Management AG, Andy Gboka, who manages more than $5 billion and holds Dangote Cement shares, disclosed that there is room for Dangote to move into Nepal.

"There is not enough production capacity, and unfortunately, you saw what happened with the earthquake and the infrastructure that was damaged."

"Even though this is coming from a negative event, there is a strong growth story in the Nepal region," Gboka said by phone from Zurich.

Serbia Win Fifa U-20 World Cup, Mali Top Senegal for 3RD Place

Nemanja Maksimovic left it late in extra time to seal the Fifa Under-20 World Cup for Serbia at the expense of Brazil.

Manchester United's Andrea Pereira had earlier leveled for Brazil, who were bidding for a record-equaling sixth title, following Stanisa Mandic's opener.

Brazil dominated possession but were just not able to stop the Serbians from clinching their first title in New Zealand.

A Selecao asked too many questions of their opponents' readiness early into the proceedings but it was Serbia who had the best opening of the half few minutes to the break, when Andrija Zivkovic's delivery to the back post; headed across goal by Babic found Sergej Milinkovic, who fluffed a free header in front of goal.

Brazil continued to press for an opener after the break but could not convert their chances as skipper Danillo fired wide, with goalkeeper Pedrag Zajkovic doing well to fluff their onslaught.

Pereira also came close to sealing victory on 90 minutes but his free-kick was paired away by Razjkovic to force extra-time.

Despite the rain which started chucking it down in Auckland, both sides continued to search for that elusive crown, which eventually came for the European courtesy of Maksimovic goal three invites from time.

The forward was sent through by a Zivkovic neat pass and with the linesman's flag down, wasted no time to put the ball inside Jean's net.

Woman Gets Arrested After She Posted A Pic Of Her And Her Pet Dog Having Séx

A teenage woman has reportedly admitted taking selfies as she had s*x with a dog in her grandma's house.

Ashley Miller is said to have told police how she coaxed her pet dog, a pit bull called 2-face, into licking her vagina between 30 and 40 times over the past five years. Officers have also indicated that she admitted to making her previous dog, a pit bull-Rottweiler cross named Scarface, perform MouthAction on her.

Miller, from Bradenton, Florida, has been charged with two counts of sexual activities involving animals after police discovered the vile images on her mobile phone.

According to documents obtained by the Smoking Gun, she told officers that 2-face lives at her grandma's house, also in Bradenton, a city in Manatee County.

Whenever she wanted to have s*x with the dog, she would lock herself in a bedroom, take off her underwear and beckon the dog over, reports the New York Daily News.

She described how the pooch would "put her snout into her vagina on her own", but insisted she never forced the dog into any sexual act.

Miller told officers she never touched 2-face sexually.

The acts always took places when one of her family members was in the house, although they had no idea about what was going on in the bedroom, Miller said.

On at least two occasions, she took selfies, showing the dog licking her vagina.

The 'puppy p**n' pictures were discovered in two hidden folders on Miller's phone, one titled "2-face fun" and another titled "Me", police said.

Miller told officers that less than 10 of the acts occurred after she turned 18 in February.

A vet has indicated that 2-face showed no sign of injury when she checked her out.

Miller is due to appear in court next month.

APC crisis: Party demands apology from Saraki, Dogara

Although some chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC have initiated moves to reconcile the aggrieved camps and bring back peace in the party, its national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is not yielding to it until his conditions are met.

Vanguard exclusively gathered yesterday that Tinubu who felt greatly slighted by the elections of Senator Bukola Saraki and Rep. Yakubu Dogara as the senate president and the Speaker, House of Representatives respectively against the party's official candidates, Senator Ahmed Lawan and Femi Gbajabimila had said of what can assuage his anger and that of the party.

A competent party source told Vanguard in Abuja that principal among the conditions is that both Saraki and Dogara must tender and publish a full page apology publicly using the national dailies.

To this end, the source hinted that an extended meeting of the national leaders of the party with APC governors involved had been slated for next week.

The meeting, it was learnt, would hold either Monday or Tuesday.

"You don't joke with the man (Tinubu). He said they must make a public apology to him using the newspapers. A meeting that will involve all APC governors has been scheduled to hold either on Monday or Tuesday. Wait and see what will happen. They have to do it", the source said.

It was not ascertained whether president Mohmmadu Buhari would be at the meeting but Saraki and Dogara are expected to be at the meeting.

It will be recalled that after the National Assembly leadership that brought Saraki and Dogara as the new leaders of the 8th assembly, tempers have continued to flare up in the party.

Upon their elections on June 9, APC immediately issued a statement where it declared the outcome of the elections unacceptable and also threatened sanctions for the new leaders.

The threat however divided the party with some of the national leaders frowning at the decision.
One of the them was the deputy national publicity secretary, comrade Timi Frank who also called for the resignation of the party's national chairman, chief John Oyegun on the grounds of his failure to harmonize the variegated interests that later cost the party the office of the Deputy Senate President, DSP.

According to Frank, Oyegun compromised to have agreed to conduct the mock election that threw up Lawan and Gbajabimila as official candidates of the party.

Meanwhile, national chairman of the party, Oyegun has assured Nigerians that peace was underway in the party.

Rising from the meeting of the National Working Committee, NWC which held at party's national secretariat in Abuja yesterday, the chairman said that the party had reached out to all aggrieved parties, stressing that Nigerians would see a united APC by next week.

He also marshalled out defence for the party's national publicity secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed who he said had been misunderstood in some quarters while discharging his responsibilities.

Gunmen kill 13 villagers in Kaduna communities

Reports from Katsak village of Jema'a local government area of Kaduna state say that about nine persons were killed by unidentified gunmen, in the early hours of Thursday.

A similar attack, according to the reports, also occurred at the Ungwan Danborno community of Birnin Gwari local government area where five other persons were also murdered.

A total of about 15 persons were said to have sustained varying degrees of injuries during the incidents.

Confirming the attacks in a statement yesterday, Governor Nasir El-Rufai, conveyed his sympathy to families of the victims.

El-Rufai said that series of comprehensive measures were being designed to tackle the problem and secure sustainable peace across the state.

The Governor said that he was determined to work with the security agencies and the judiciary to end what he described as the epidemic of killings and the impunity that feeds it.

According to the statement, "government is working to contain the killings and criminal acts menacing Giwa, Birnin Gwari, Kaura, Sanga, Jema'a and Zangon Kataf local government areas.

"We have briefed President Muhammadu Buhari on the security challenges and he is supportive of the measures being designed to address them.

"We pray Almighty God to grant the deceased eternal rest and our hearts go to the injured and the families of the bereaved," El-Rufai said.

Woman Breaks World Record by Delivering 17 Babies At One Delivery

For those of you that think that some things are impossible in life, well here you go as nothing is impossible and new under the sun. In the Unites States, an American woman from Indianapolis totally destroyed any record of most babies in a lone pregnancy.

She broke the world record by giving birth to 17 babied at a go. The delivery spanned a whole 29 hours at Indianan Memorial Hospital.

Here are some words from the doctor that handled the delivery:

[qoute]Quote:"It was incredible" explains Dr. Jack Morrow who assisted the woman through the whole operation." The babies kept coming and coming and coming and coming... Man! I think I'm gonna have nightmares about this day for a long time! This was my last delivery!" he adds in disgust.[/quote]

The woman's name is Catherine Bridges and it was known that she and her husband have been trying to get a child for a long time. So after a while they decided to seek medical assistance from a fertility clinic in Rhodes Island.

The process of insemination was successful and the resultant effect was the birth of seventeen boys. As you can see in the image, she is already tired of handling 17 troublesome boys.

Fraudster Dupes Girl Of N14,000 Inside GTBank Lagos (See Photo)

A fraudster on Wednesday duped a young lady of N14,000 at the Guaranty Trust Bank, GTB, Allen Avenue branch, Ikeja, in Lagos.

The young lady, who identified herself with one name, Ruqayat, was seen crying inside the banking hall and attracted attention from officials and customers. According to Rukayat, a man dressed in a corporate outfit approached her while on a queue, along other depositors.

He claimed to be an official of the bank and demanded if I had a bank verification number, to which I answered no. "He collected the money for ease of the transaction and gave me a verification form to fill", Rukayat explained.

While she moved away to fill the form, Rukayat said, the man went to the counter and was seen talking to a teller.

By the time Rukayat was done, the pretended bank official had gone. Rukayat, who works with a iPhone 6 retail shop at Balogun street, also in Ikeja, burst into tears.

"The money belongs to my boss. I have just been employed two weeks ago and I don't know where to get a refund for her," she said sobbingly. Many bank customers were in disbelief about Rukayat's story, while a bank security guard ordered her out of the hall. Rukayat said.

Outside the banking hall, few Bureau de Change operators sympathized with Rukayat. A middle aged Hausa-speaking man, Ibrahim Hamisu told Nigeria Newsbreak a similar incident had happened previously in the bank and the fraudster arrested. The previous fraudster, Hamisu said, acted as though he were a bank official and elected to help two girls who had come to open accounts with the task.

'He (fraudster) collected two laptops from the two girls and gave them forms to fill. They were able to discover who he was through the CCTV, when the ladies raised an alarm. The bank was thoroughly searched, but the fraudster had fled by then," Hamisu said.

Dad Goes To Daycare To Pick Up Daughter, Catches Worker Doing The Unthinkable To Her

When an unnamed Washington state father arrived at his daughter's daycare to take her home, what he found was probably the worse possible situation a parent can stumble upon.

At first, he didn't know where his 5-year-old daughter was, but he quickly discovered her in the classroom crouching behind a bookshelf in fear as her 31-year-old teacher was allegedly raping her.

According to the teacher, the Kid's Country childcare center teacher was simply playing an innocent game of "tickle fight," but according to the young girl, described as articulate and smart, that was far from the truth.

Wisely, the father took his daughter away and, on the ride home, contacted Child Protective Services.

The young girl described to both her father and CPS officials exactly what the teacher had done to her and even told them that he had "raped" her. Her above-average intelligence reportedly allowed her to provide details about the alleged sexual assault that led to the quick arrest of the perverted teacher.

Describing the incident, the girl explained that the teacher wasn't tickling her at all, rather, his hand had touched her in inappropriate places on her body. The teacher, apparently caught in the act, tried to excuse those inappropriate touches as an "accidental slip of the hand."

The unidentified man is awaiting his day in court at the King County jail, where he'll hopefully be punished to the fullest extent that the law allows.

President Buhari To Move Into Aso Rock, Announce Appointments Next Week

President Muhammadu Buhari is reportedly set to move into the Presidential Villa, also known as Aso Rock, next week.

Buhari's delay in relocation has attracted controversy with rumours spreading that the President had hired Senegalese spiritualists to cleanse the premises.

These reports were however laid to rest by the Presidency which said that the President hadn't relocated due to ongoing renovations in the official quarters.

According to a Presidency source who spoke to Vanguard, Buhari will relocate to the Villa and also announce some important appointments to officially kick-start his administration next week.

"It is true that the construction company has completed the President's wing and he is set to move in any moment from now. As at today, it is only the Vice President's residence that is yet to be fully completed," the source said.

"We expect that the two men will move into the villa by next week since the work in the Vice President's apartment is not a serious one," the source added.

Buhari and Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo were sworn into office on Friday, May 29, 2015.

PDP To FG: You Must Pay The Over 25million Poor Nigerians Monthly, Or Else…

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that Nigerians would take nothing short of the federal government's much publicised pay for the poorest and unemployed citizens of the country.

The country's number two citizen, professor Yemi Osinbajo, had few days ago, revealed that the government was finalising plans to pay the poorest and unemployed Nigerians N5,000 monthly as part of its pre-election campaign promises.

But the PDP believe that the ruling party is just blowing such statements out of proportion as it is one of the things which Nigerians should already be looking forward to since the All Progressives Congress (APC) had promised them before being elected.

Olisa Metuh, the national publicity secretary of the PDP noted that there is no big deal in the announcement of the monthly pay, stating categorically that, "the APC should not by any means attempt to use its flimsy list to divert attention from its numerous campaign promises for which the people are holding them accountable.

"We wish to inform the APC that Nigerians will not take anything short of the commencement of the payment of monthly N5, 000 each to 25 million poor citizens beginning from the end of this month; ending of insurgency by the end of July as promised by President Buhari in his April 2, 2015 CNN interview; payment of monthly allowance to discharged but unemployed Youth Corps members, free meals to school children and bringing the naira to the same value with the dollar; among other bogus promises upon which they gained access to power."
