Nwosu Expects F/Eagles to win U20 W/Cup For Buhari

By Izuchukwu Okosi:

Former Flying Eagles midfielder Christopher Nwosu believes the Manu Garba-led team to the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand know the expectations of Nigerians as they seek their first shot at the U20 title.

Nigeria will face title favourites Germany on Thursday, in a Round of 16 game in Christchurch.

Nwosu was a member of the Nigerian team to the U20 World Cup in 1989 which Saudi Arabia hosted.

"The boys know what is ahead of them when they win the Championship," Nwosu states.

"They will be the first Flying Eagles side to win the U20 World Cup, and that will be the first trophy for President Muhammadu Buhari of course.

"Germany in the Round of 16 will not be an easy one but I believe they will surely do well and make the nation proud.

"Yes, things must change, and if it happened to be through football, so be it. Up Flying Eagles," the Germany-based Nwosu intones cheerfully.

The Nigeria vs Germany game will be played at 8.30am Thursday, Nigerian time .
