Nigeria senior women striker Asisat Oshoala is keen to re-enact the form which saw her win two individual accolades in Canada during the Fifa Women's World Cup next month.

Oshoala burst onto the world stage with her performance at the 2014 Fifa U20 Women's World Cup where she won the golden boot and golden ball for being highest scorer and best player respectively.

She will return to Canada next month with the senior women and hopes to confirm her billing among the best female footballers on the continent.

"I am not under any pressure because that was a junior competition and this is a senior competition," Oshoala told thenff.com.

"Definitely, it is a different ball game but what I will say is that I will go to Canada again and give my best and prove that I am a good player and that what happened in 2014 was not a fluke. I have to make sure I give the fans a lot of reason to smile in Nigeria

"Winning the MVP and highest goal scorer award at the forthcoming World Cup are secondary achievements but the primary aim is to go there and get the trophy. That is the primary thing so whatever comes after that is the secondary achievement," she concluded.

In seven appearances at the Women's World Cup, Nigeria have only gotten past the group stage once.

They would hope that Oshoala is in top form to help them reach unprecedented heights when the tournament kicks off in June.
